Black Theatre Metro is one of the oldest black theaters which traveled the world with its performances. The theatre of extraordinary possibilities, with a space for genre difference (drama, dance and classical ballet), theatre suited for film and TV.
Cartoon theatre was first presented to the public on March 17th, 1975, with the play of Frantisek Kratochvil and Vladimir Cabalka – called “The Clown”. The theatre went on with more productions – the innovative opening night of “The Anatomy of a Kiss” followed by “Miss Sony”, and the opening night of “Quo Vadis”.
Unlike other black theaters it uses a unique and worldwide patented technology of black theater, where drawing comes to life. Metro Theatre reveals the principle of this technique to its audience at the end of each performance. For that reason, the black theater Metro in Prague is completely unique.
